For many years before the pandemic we held an annual Women Instructors seminar.  The first one was 2005. The time has come to start up again!

So, we would like to invite you to our Women Instructors Seminar.

Taking place on:

• January 21 (at Providence Aikikai) — 12-5pm

• and January 22 (at Framingham Aikikai) — 11-2pm

With instructors:

• Barbara Britton, 7th dan

• Claire Keller, 6th dan

• Fiona Blyth, 5th dan.
  
  Note that the seminar will be appropriate for beginners.

2021 Schedule Updates

We have been steadily re-adding classes as we are starting to return to a sense of normalcy. We are updating the online schedule on this site. As of this post (July 2021), we have these classes:

MONDAY 6:30pm — Adults with David Sensei

WEDNESDAY 6:30pm — Adults (rotating instructors)

SATURDAY 9am — Adults with Dare

SATURDAY 10am — Kids with Dare

SATURDAY 3pm — Adults with Wayne Sensei

We have online classes, as well as masked, distanced solo and paired weapons classes - both outside (when weather permits) and in our well-ventilated dojo. Please contact us for our current schedule.

2018 Kanai Sensei Memorial Seminar

Amazing 3 day retreat in the woods! Focused practice in a beautiful setting with great people.

Providence aikidoka -- please check your calendars, and consider coming to this. Last year was very special, and this year promises to be again! We had a great showing from Providence, and everyone benefited and had a great time. 

Schedule change: Saturday summer hours

Hi -
Effective immediately, we will now hold Saturday's adult class at 10am for the rest of the summer (instead of 12:30). Kids class will remain at 11:15am. 

So the Saturday schedule is now:
10am -- Adult's class
11:15am  -- Kid's class

We do this during the summer to give people the afternoon free. Then we revert back when it starts to get cold again. The website's schedule page has been updated to reflect this.

2 weeks! ...Kanai Sensei Memorial Seminar

Just 2 weeks until the big seminar retreat in Charlton, MA!

KANAI SENSEI
This is a big deal! It is a really special event for us, and is very near the Providence dojo - only about an hour drive. For newer members, visiting even for a day will be a great way of getting a glimpse of the larger Aikido community - and a group of people from all over who wish to celebrate and honor our original teacher - Mitsunari Kanai Sensei - and his unique, and dynamic style of Aikido.

Seminar: This Saturday (April 29th)!

That's right -- our seminar is upon us! 

This Saturday, we will hold children's class at the normal time of 11:15 -- but the adults class is cancelled, and instead, we will hold the seminar, starting at 1pm.

We have posted the "UNITED STATES AIKIDO FEDERATION NEW STUDENT GUIDE," from Yamada Sensei - as well as the "FRAMINGHAM AIKIKAI NEW STUDENT GUIDE" that Halprin Sensei has prepared especially for his students. We have also posted the USAF testing requirements, and other items of interest.
